Signify and JUNG Introduce Integrated Solution for Lighting and Indoor Climate Control

The solution merges Signify’s connected lighting platform with JUNG’s building control systems, creating a seamless interface between lighting, temperature, and shading. By integrating these functions into a single system, buildings can respond more dynamically to changing environmental conditions and user behaviour.

At its core, the system enables coordinated control of multiple building functions. Lighting can be adjusted in relation to daylight availability, while heating and cooling systems respond to occupancy and room usage. This holistic approach supports demand-based operation, helping to reduce energy consumption while maintaining optimal indoor conditions.

Communication between system components is enabled through wireless technologies such as Bluetooth Mesh and Zigbee, allowing flexible installation and easy retrofitting. This makes the solution particularly relevant for existing buildings, where upgrading infrastructure often requires minimal disruption.

The integrated system also supports compliance with current energy regulations and building standards, including requirements related to energy performance and sustainability. By combining lighting and climate control, the solution contributes to a more efficient use of resources and supports long-term environmental goals.

In addition to technical performance, the collaboration focuses on user-friendly operation. Control interfaces are designed to be intuitive, enabling occupants to adjust settings easily while benefiting from automated processes in the background.

Overall, the joint solution from Signify and JUNG reflects a broader industry trend toward integrated building systems. By linking lighting with indoor climate control, the companies demonstrated how intelligent technologies can enhance both building performance and user experience, while reducing complexity for planners, installers, and operators.
