MEAN WELL Expands Smart Lighting Horizons with the New SPWM Series
Innovative Multi-Functionality
The SPWM series is designed to be a "one-stop" solution for high-end lighting control. Unlike traditional single-function drivers, these units allow for the flexible configuration of standard dimming, color temperature adjustment (Tunable White), and full RGB color tuning. This multi-functionality allows designers and installers to achieve complex lighting scenes using a single, reliable unit, significantly reducing inventory complexity and installation time.
Sleek Design and Seamless Integration
Aesthetically, the SPWM-75/150/240 series features a signature light gray, elongated plastic housing. This slim profile is specifically optimized for installation in tight spaces, such as ceiling coves or furniture integration. The terminal-style interfaces ensure secure, professional connections, making it an ideal choice for both commercial and residential projects.
Future-Ready Connectivity
MEAN WELL is currently shipping the 3-in-1 dimming and DALI-2 dimming/color tuning models. These versions offer precise control and interoperability within established lighting ecosystems. Looking toward the future of the IoT and smart home markets, MEAN WELL has also announced that KNX and Matter-compatible models are currently in development and will be joining the lineup soon.
By bridging the gap between traditional power reliability and cutting-edge smart protocols, the SPWM series reaffirms MEAN WELL’s position as the primary driver of innovation in the LED market.
