FORVIA HELLA's new 90 mm LED kit replaces halogen one-to-one

FORVIA shows technology for agricultural and off-highway machinery at EIMA International in Bologna from 10 to 14 November 2026. The highlight is FORVIA HELLA's new 90 mm LED Lighting Kit, a one-to-one replacement for halogen modules. Compared with the company's Bi-LED modules it is up to 45% shallower, up to 70% lighter and almost 80% more efficient on high beam. Series launch: spring 2027.

At EIMA International 2026 in Bologna, FORVIA HELLA premieres a 90 mm LED module built as a drop-in replacement for halogen modules on agricultural and off-highway machinery. The text below is the press release issued by FORVIA (Nanterre, France) together with FORVIA HELLA (Lippstadt, Germany) on 3 November 2026, reproduced with its original structure and only minor editorial adjustments.

FORVIA, a world-leading provider of mobility technologies and sustainable solutions, will present a comprehensive technology portfolio at EIMA International in Bologna — the world's leading trade fair for agricultural technology — from 10 to 14 November 2026. FORVIA brings together the complementary strengths of FORVIA HELLA and FORVIA Seating in an integrated approach. FORVIA HELLA draws on more than 50 years of experience in the off-highway market. Seating makes its EIMA debut as part of the FORVIA Group's IGNITE strategy, which includes the clear objective of accelerating growth in commercial vehicle and off-highway business.

  • World premiere: New 90 mm LED Lighting Kit modules for halogen replacement
  • European premiere in the agricultural segment: Ergonomic seating systems for off-highway applications
  • Intelligent electronics: Sensors, actuators and control architectures for higher machine availability and operational reliability

At EIMA, FORVIA HELLA and Seating demonstrate how combined Group expertise makes modern off-highway machinery more capable, safer and more efficient. Three focal points define the exhibition presence: a world premiere in lighting technology, FORVIA Seating's entry into the agricultural segment, and a broad electronics portfolio supporting machine manufacturers in the digitalization and automation of their platforms.

World premiere: Lighting Kit with new 90 mm LED module

The centerpiece of the exhibition is the world premiere of the new FORVIA HELLA Lighting Kit. The fully redesigned 90 mm LED module features innovative optics technology that enables highly precise illumination in a significantly more compact format: compared with equivalent third-generation FORVIA HELLA Bi-LED modules, the new lighting concept reduces installation depth by up to 45 percent — a decisive advantage given the confined space conditions of modern agricultural machinery. At the same time, high-beam luminous efficacy increases by almost 80 percent at reduced energy consumption, while module weight decreases by up to 70 percent compared with equivalent solutions.

"Lighting technology in the off-highway and commercial vehicle market has long been more than a safety component. It is a direct lever for greater machine efficiency and improved operator comfort. With the new Lighting Kit, we are transferring our technology leadership into the 90 mm format the industry has known for decades — delivering the most compact LED lighting module with integrated low-beam and high-beam functions that FORVIA HELLA has ever developed. Manufacturers gain a generational technology leap that they can implement without changing a single mounting point."
— Stefan van Dalen, Managing Director Lifecycle Solutions at FORVIA HELLA

The system is designed as a direct 1:1 replacement for existing 90 mm halogen solutions: mounting points and interfaces remain identical. With more than 30 years of experience in 90 mm module technology and worldwide homologation (ECE, SAE, CCC, India), FORVIA HELLA gives machine manufacturers the opportunity — for the first time — to make the technology leap from halogen to state-of-the-art LED lighting without any additional development effort. Pre-series production starts by the end of 2026; series launch is planned for spring 2027.

Premiere in the agricultural segment

FORVIA Seating presents seating systems at EIMA 2026 for the first time, specifically designed for the demands of off-highway vehicles in agriculture. The company brings more than 110 years of seating expertise from the commercial vehicle and passenger car applications into a market segment that has until now barely benefited from this level of integration competence on advanced safety, comfort and ergonomics.

"We are very excited about our debut at EIMA and about bringing our seating solutions to the agricultural machinery market. This expansion is a concrete step within our IGNITE strategy, through which we are systematically growing our business in both on-highway and off-highway applications. The fact that we have already commenced series production of an agricultural seat for a leading US agricultural machinery manufacturer confirms our conviction: manufacturers gain the full breadth of our seating expertise — and with it, fundamentally better conditions for safety, comfort and ergonomics in their machines."
— Sebastien Limousin, Executive Vice President FORVIA Seating

Intelligent electronics architecture for agricultural machinery

Alongside lighting technology, FORVIA HELLA presents a broad electronics portfolio at EIMA 2026, spanning position sensing, machine diagnostics, energy management and climate control. Central to the display is CIPOS technology (Contactless Inductive Position Sensor): its magnetless, rare-earth-free sensing principle meets tightening raw material regulations — particularly in the US market. The portfolio is complemented by the patented Structural Monitoring Sensor for early detection of bearing and machine damage, a high-voltage DC/DC converter for stable power supply in electrified machinery, and a rain-light sensor extended to detect humidity and dew point — enabling proactive anti-fogging in enclosed cabs. Together, these technologies support machine manufacturers in building more connected, automated and resilient platforms.
