HATO acquires Agrilight activities for cattle farming

HATO has acquired Agrilight’s cattle-farming activities, integrating two specialists in livestock lighting. Agrilight will remain a recognised brand while gaining support from HATO’s broader lighting expertise and global network. The acquisition aims to preserve the trust Agrilight has built with cattle farmers since 2001, ensure continuity of products and dealer relationships, and explore making the Agrilight portfolio available again quickly. HATO plans close communication with dealers, customers and partners and intends to leverage Agrilight’s dairy farming knowledge and market presence to grow the combined livestock lighting activities, focusing on improving animal welfare and farm results.

Agrilight is now part of HATO, bringing together two specialists in livestock lighting with a shared focus on the needs of farmers and their animals. Agrilight will continue as a recognised brand, with its dairy farming expertise supported by HATO’s broad lighting knowledge and global network.

Since 2001, Agrilight has been a trusted name for cattle farmers mainly across Europe. Preserving that trust is a priority as the integration progresses, with a focus on clear communication, close cooperation with dealers and customers, and long-term support for your lighting needs.

Building on a strong foundation

This strategic move strengthens HATO's position in the livestock sector by adding Agrilight's extensive dairy farming expertise, specialised product knowledge and strong market presence.

Agrilight's knowledge of the cattle sector, combined with its network of dealers, customers and industry partners, provides a solid foundation for future growth. HATO sees significant opportunities to further develop these activities while continuing to support the cattle farming community.

So, what does this mean exactly?

One of the immediate priorities is to ensure continuity.

  • Agrilight will continue as a brand endorsed by HATO.
  • HATO is actively exploring how to make the familiar Agrilight portfolio available again as quick as possible.
  • Dealers, customers and partners can expect open communication and a strong focus on long-term continuity.

The goal is clear: preserve the strength and recognition of Agrilight while benefiting from the resources, expertise and global network.

Looking ahead

This acquisition is about more than products. It brings together years of experience, knowledge and relationships in livestock farming.

In the months ahead, we will work closely with dealers, customers and partners to give Agrilight a strong future.

Our goal stays the same: lighting that helps livestock farmers improve animal welfare and farm results.
