Central.Line.Optic, featuring new light distribution technologies, expands the range of applications for Regiolux lighting trunking systems.
More Lighting Quality, More Design Freedom Lighting has to meet a wide range of demands today, as workstations, shelving, vertical surfaces and varying room heights each present their own specific requirements. With new and optimised light distribution technologies, different module lengths, IP20 and IP64 protection ratings, and luminous efficacy of up to 215 lm/W, Regiolux further enhances the flexibility and performance of its SDT and SRT rapid-installation continuous-row lighting systems. This allows lighting to be tailored more precisely to the geometry of each space and its intended use.
· Updated
The Central.Line.Optic features a linearly arranged single-lens system that produces uniform, homogeneous light distribution. New and optimised light distributions expand its range of applications, including production, logistics and office environments. The new CTB optic enables solutions suitable for screen-based workstations, delivering up to approx. 6,200 lm in the /1500 module and up to approx. 9,500 lm in the /2250 module.
UGR optimisation achieves UGR ≤ 22 at luminous flux levels of up to 19,000 lm. This makes the optic particularly suitable for order-picking areas, where effective glare control is essential. Higher usable luminous flux levels can also help reduce the number of luminaires required. Variants featuring Tunable White and CRI 90, which render the colours of illuminated objects with near-natural fidelity, also open up new possibilities for dynamic lighting concepts and Human Centric Lighting.
Three Light Distributions for Specific Applications
Three new light distributions have now been added to the existing portfolio: “double asymmetric”, “asymmetric” and the optimised “wide-beam” distribution.
The double-asymmetric version directs light to both sides. A centrally positioned light line can therefore illuminate two opposing vertical surfaces evenly. Applications include shelving aisles, libraries, retail and logistics areas, as well as gallery-style corridors. The recommended mounting height is between 2.5 and 4 metres.
The asymmetric light distribution directs light precisely to one side. This makes it suitable for illuminating shelving arranged along one side, boards, posters, presentation areas and exhibition displays. Loading bays and wall surfaces, for example in foyers, can also be effectively highlighted. Depending on the application, mounting heights of approximately 2.5 to 4 metres are possible.
The enhanced wide-beam light distribution combines long light throw with visual comfort and glare control. It extends the range of applications to include screen-based workstations and supports uniform, concentration-enhancing illumination in areas such as order picking, logistics, education, retail and production. Mounting heights can range from 2.5 to 12 metres.
Precise Planning, Fast and Flexible Installation
SDT and SRT combine the new lighting technologies with the benefits of Regiolux rapid-installation continuous-row lighting systems. The versatile SDT system can be installed quickly without additional wiring work. The backward compatibility of its gear trays simplifies the modernisation of existing installations. Depending on the version, a range of protection ratings, lighting technologies, luminous flux levels and functional modules is available.
The SRT offers an even greater degree of flexibility: its gear trays can be positioned freely along the entire continuous-row system. Different power feed spacings and an increased number of power connection points provide greater freedom in arranging lighting and functional modules. The system is available with IP20 and IP64 protection ratings and can be tailored to specific applications through three performance levels. In the Xtreme level, it achieves up to 215 lm/W.
For lighting designers, these enhancements provide greater freedom to tailor light distribution, mounting height and the position of the light line to the specific requirements of each application. Architects and facility managers benefit from flexible solutions for new-build projects as well as changes of use and refurbishment. Depending on the system, existing mounting rails and electrical installations can be retained during modernisation projects. A complete refurbishment can deliver energy savings of up to 80%.
This continued development reflects Regiolux's commitment to making the planning, installation and operation of continuous-row lighting systems simpler and more efficient.
