Associations | Organization bodies
The TALQ Consortium is an open industry consortium that sets the interface standard for smart city device networks. In 2012 it defined the TALQ protocol, now globally accepted, which lets central management software control and monitor outdoor device networks from different vendors, above all smart street lighting, and also applications such as traffic control and waste management. Products are TALQ-certified, the core specification is public, and with the DALI Alliance and Zhaga it has introduced joint D4i TALQ Zhaga profiles. The consortium has 86 member companies and belongs to the IEEE-ISTO federation of member programmes.
