SPEA, founded in 1976 and headquartered in Volpiano near Turin, Italy, designs and manufactures automatic test equipment (ATE) for electronics. Its test systems cover the whole electronics supply chain: wafer and semiconductor testing, flying probe, in-circuit and end-of-line functional testing of assembled boards, modules and finished products. For lighting, the T100L automatic LED light tester combines electrical validation with pixel-by-pixel optical analysis of LED light modules (luminous intensity and flux, CIE 1931 color coordinates, CCT, CRI, spectrum, dominant wavelength, LED binning) for automotive and general lighting, either stand-alone or inline with automatic loaders. SPEA also provides test engineering and Design for Testability consulting, production ramp-up support, preventive maintenance and calibration, and training through the SPEA Academy. More than 12,000 SPEA testers are installed worldwide; the company employs over 1,200 people and operates in 38 countries.
