Mark was Lighting Designer of the Year in 2014 and received a Special Recognition Award from the Institute of Lighting Professionals in 2016. He authored the PLDA ethics policy and served as Vice President for Architectural Lighting for the ILP from 2011 until 2016. Human interaction with architecture through the medium of light is central to his philosophy and practice.
