LED Calibration Standards in the ACS Series
The LED calibration standards in the Instrument Systems ACS series allow you to easily and reliably check the accuracy of photometric devices supplied by Instrument Systems, and recalibrate the photometric value (e.g. averaged luminous intensity, luminous flux or luminance) as necessary.
The ACS-570 LED calibration standard supplies reference values for luminous flux and averaged luminous intensity, traceable to PTB standards (in conformity with DIN ISO 17025). It provides information about color coordinates and dominant wavelength or correlated color temperature. The LED standard works with a temporal stability within 0.5% over min. 100 operating hours.
The LED luminance standard ACS-585 is a highly stable light source based on LED technology whose light is homogenized by an integrating sphere. It’s used as reference value for luminance, specifies color coordinates and color temperature and supports the testing of all luminance meters on both filter and spectroradiometric basis.
Both devices work together with a PSU 10 control unit that provides two functionalities for controlling the LED standards. Firstly, the PSU 10 includes a power source which supplies a steady LED current of 250 mA to ensure constant optical radiant power. In addition, this module supplies power to the fan built into the ACS devices. Secondly, the temperature is stabilized by the TEC controller of the PSU 10 through feedback with a Pt100 sensor near the cooling surface of the high-power LED. The PSU 10 is controlled through a USB link to a computer via the LED Control 2 software supporting Windows 7/10 operating systems.
