ISA Calls for Nomination and Application on Tree Different Awards

Call for Nominations on “Award of Outstanding Achievement for Global SSL Development”:

International SSL Alliance (ISA) is a not-for-profit international organization representing the SSL community worldwide, is seeking to honor the key individuals or organizations who stay at the forefront of SSL development, whose outstanding contributions has changed our lives, and who lead the field with innovative applications impacting human society for long.

After about five decades of continuous technical research and sustained industrialization, the LED industry is mature enough to tackle SSL consumer applications and enable a revolution in the way light, used and perceived by humans, from home and street to industry. This ground breaking change is made possible by the huge scientific, academic and practical skills and knowledge which accumulate among brilliant scientists, engineers, policy makers and industrial leaders etc. It is our responsibility to remember and reveal their outstanding contributions, for reviewing and declaring this ground breaking change.

This Award was successfully launched in 2013, and the Laureate List is as follows:

This Award is to pay the utmost respect and recognition to these outstanding contributors, and also to inspire more and more individuals and groups to devote to this great cause, to move forward the history with their knowledge and innovation, to create more exciting results, to make contributions to human beings and to benefit all beings.

Nomination requirements:
•    This award accepts nominations for excellence around the world, no any fees changed for the whole process, and is judged by worldwide authoritative experts.

This award is now open for nomination. Please submit your nomination by June 30th, 2017, to introduce your nominee(s).

Nominations will be reviewed by a dedicated jury, and successful nominees will be awarded and presented to the public at the opening session of “The 14th China International Forum on Solid State Lighting” (SSLCHINA 2017) in middle October, 2017, in Beijing.

Call for Applications on “Global SSL Events of the Year” 2016-2017:

“Global SSL Events of the Year” (EOY) aims to promote the sustainable development of Solid State Lighting industry, to encourage SSL industry theoretic research, technology innovation, and products R&D, to increase the impact and visibility of SSL industry, let more people around the world learn about this industry, this technology and the contributors and organizations to this industry, and to identify the most meaningful milestone events, invention, R&D achievements, research papers, product launch, technology breakthrough and so on.

This event has been successfully launched in 2012 and 12 extraordinary and influential SSL events have been selected as the winners. In order to continue the meaningful work and provide valuable service to our members and the SSL industry, EOY is now open for application.

Application requirements:
•    Any organization in the SSL industry is eligible to apply.
•    The event must be related to the SSL industry and and be influential.

Please submit your applications before June 30th, 2017, not to miss the opportunity of demonstrating your events to the world.

Call for Applications on “Global SSL Showcase Top 100”:

“Global SSL Showcase Top100” (TOP100) has been successfully launched in 2012 and 45 extraordinary and influential SSL showcases have been selected as the winners till now.

TOP100 aims to recommend and manifest the best SSL application projects worldwide by demonstrating the SSL R&D achievements, the application of technology innovation, as well as the comprehensive results of best design, reliable products and best installation to promote the characteristics and advantages of SSL, and help people acquire more feel and experiences, and increase the influence of SSL to speed up the promotion and application of SSL in depth and width around the world .

Sign up TOP100, companies can presents their exquisite design, or reliable products, or high quality installation, improve their global visibility and influence, and add credibility for the development of the companies to open up broader markets. In order to continue the meaningful work and provide valuable service to our members and the SSL industry, TOP100 2017 is now open for application.

Jury evaluation for all awards:

Secretariat of ISA collects and submits applications to the jury panel, which consists of several highly experienced experts and professionals from around the world that specialize in SSL design, engineering, technology, production and SSL R&D.

Secretariat of ISA will have a preliminary screen on the applications and submit those who fit the required format to the Jury Panel comprised of highly experienced experts. The successful applications will be released and introduced to the world at ISA General Assembly in middle October, 2017, in Beijing.
