InterLumi Panama Is Lighting Up a New Sector in Energy Efficiency in Its 3rd Edition

According to the energy production statistics released by Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean in 2015, Panama ranks the third as the country with the largest production of renewable energies in Central America. Driven by the trend of “Going Efficient”, renewable energy market in Latin America is growing steadily. It provides numerous opportunities for companies that want to expand their business in this field.

The launch of the energy pavilion is a new feature and highlight of InterLumi Panama 2018, extending the show’s range to engage companies that are specialized in the development of energy efficiency.

This initiative is well supported by Panamanian Chamber of Solar Energy (CAPES, acronym in Spanish), which was founded in 2016, dedicating to promote the use of solar energy in Panama and to create awareness of clean and renewable energies among the public. It also works to ensure that government regulations and the electric sector are beneficial to the promotion of this technology in the country.

Driven by similar goals, CAPES is joining efforts with InterLumi to establish the energy pavilion with the purpose of maximizing the value of energy-saving solutions in a single package. Companies including Nsolar, Refeel, Solar Power Pat have already expressed willingness to participate.

In addition, InterLumi and CAPES are working together to raise the awareness of energy savings among people from the end-user fields, for example, the hotel industry. According to Ms. Ana María Sanchís, Executive Director of the Panamanian Hotel Association (APATEL, acronym in Spanish), the migration to more efficient energy technologies is a priority for the hotel industry. The hotel sector is looking forward to finding efficient lighting solutions at InterLumi Panama 2018.

In alliance with CAPES and other related associations, InterLumi Panama 2018 will open up a new chapter featuring the energy sector and adapt itself to demands of efficient lighting and renewable energies in the region.
