Abu Dhabi is Now Investing in Sustainable Lighting
Abu Dhabi is one of the most active cities in the region that is investing in sustainable development and a significant part of this investment is focused on energy efficiency in buildings and extension landscape lighting. Abu Dhabi has taken a strong stance on integrating its infrastructure through their smart city’s integration pilot and subsequently continues to retrofit existing buildings to deliver on its promises to reduce energy consumption by 20%.
LightingTech Abu Dhabi summit will be held on 11-12 December 2017 in Abu Dhabi, UAE and will discuss industry trends, planned projects and requirements for delivering energy efficiency while meeting quality standards.
Abu Dhabi Municipality to retrofit 320,000 street lights
As of 30 June 2017, the Abu Dhabi Quality Mark is now compulsory for all lighting used in government projects.
Abu Dhabi Municipality will be retrofitting over 320,000 street lights in Abu Dhabi with high performance LEDs under their PPP framework, as well as for their new projects and indoor retrofits.
Musanada are building hospitals, schools, housing and infrastructure projects that also specify sustainable lighting in projects that have been a significant part of the $2.7 billion investment allocated in the first part of 2017 alone!
