Avago's new LEDs combine very well saturated colours with high reliability characteristics that make them a perfect fit for exterior and interior full colour signage, video screens and decorative lighting applications.

The ASMT-YTB7 RGB PLCC6 Black Surface OneLED features a separate heat path for each LED dice, enabling the LEDs to be driven at higher current levels. The 6-lead format permits independent anode and cathode connections for each LED, which maximise flexibility to set the individual LED drive levels for millions of colours including White.
The devices have dimensions of just 3.4 mm × 2.8 mm × 1.8 mm allowing dense spacing.
The devices are water resistant, meeting IPX6 rating according to the IEC 60529 standard.
This eliminates the need for protective covers and reduces the amount of electronic grade potting material required. Both offer a high potential for reducing the cost and overall weight of LED light systems.
