Vestel Takes Off with LED Lighting Business in Germany, Austria & Switzerland
Vestel is pleased to announce its start in LED Lighting as well as the appointment of Uwe Hock as its new Sales & Marketing Director, LED Lighting for Vestel Germany in Garching / Munich.
Uwe Hock joined Vestel Germany in November 2012 with the focus to set up and develop the LED lighting business in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH – Region).
He previously worked in Sharp Microelectronics Europe for over 8 years, in the last four years as the Manager of the Lighting Business for Europe. First LED related activities began end of 2007, covering Sales & Marketing as well as Business Development for the emerging high brightness LED market. Prior to this he managed the Marketing team for all IC, RF and Optoelectronics Products within Sharp Microelectronics in Europe.
Before joining Sharp he worked for nearly 10 years in the microelectronics industry in different Sales & Marketing positions at AT&T Microelectronics and succeeding companies (Lucent Technologies, Agere Systems).
Mr. Hock received his graduate engineer degree in electro technique / telecommunication from the University of Darmstadt in 1995.
Özcan Karadogan is the Managing Director of Vestel Germany GmbH which is located in Garching nearby Munich.
Since 2007 he is in charge of Vestel Germany GmbH (after it was restructured from a privately owned joint-venture to a full member of the Vestel Group).
Mr. Karadogan is in the electronics sector since 1995 and started his career in the former Mail Order Company Quelle AG as a Trainee and then Purchasing Manager.
After that he was the responsible Product Manager for Premium-TV at LOEWE AG.
As a European Marketing and Product Manager for monitors at NEC-Mitsubishi Europe he was responsible for the European CRT and LCD monitor lineup.
Before joining Vestel Germany he was working as an International Business Manager at Media Saturn Holding and was in charge for the Consumer and Telecom Products. During this time Mr. Kardogan’s responsibility included the setup and opening of the new Media Markt and Saturn stores across Europe e.g. in Portugal, Greece, Sweden, Russia and Turkey.
Mr. Karadogan has a multicultural background and is 40 years old.
