SSC Presents New Innovative Products and LED Applications of Customers at Light+Building
Light + Building 2012 (15 - 20.04.2012) is the world's largest stage for the lighting market. More than 1,500 manufacturers present the entire spectrum of lighting technology, including lighting fixtures in a variety of styles, technical lighting and lamps of all kinds and for all applications and a wide range of lighting components and accessories at the Frankfurt exhibition grounds. Also a wide range of outdoor lights, from bollards, uplights and spotlights for illumination of buildings using projector-mirror systems to street lights will be on display. The world's leading trade fair presents trends like light shows in the public sector or shop lighting as a sales promotion element. Central theme of Light + Building 2012 is energy efficiency, precisely energy consumption reduction combined with new opportunities for greater comfort, creative design and safety in apartments, offices, stores and public spaces. This is where LED technology plays a decisive role.
Seoul Semiconductor (SSC), a leading global provider of innovative LED technology is presenting products and applications at Light + Building in Hall 4.2, Stand J70: SSC shows in Frankfurt a few products from customers based on LED components by SSC. "For our company, Light + Building is the most important trade fair. In Frankfurt, we present our innovative LEDs to lighting manufacturers, designers and architects from all over the world, "said Manuel Zarauza, Managing Director of Seoul Semiconductor. "Also some of our customers who have realized their products on the basis of SSC components, use the Light + Building in order to present their product portfolio to the worldwide audience."
SSC Will show the following LEDs in applications:
• High-intensity SMD LEDs Z5M / P with a thermally optimized design for general lighting, even with the color rendering index CRI 90 available.
• LED 5630 with very good price-performance ratio and a uniform light distribution on the surface (without additional optics), CRI 90 available.
• LED 5050 provides for a size of only 5 x 5 mm, a very good price-performance ratio and absence of an additional optic a homogeneous light distribution on the surface. The extremely efficient device is also available equipped with a color rendering index CRI 90.
• The LEDs of the P4 / P5 are reliable components that are available in the full color spectrum.
• The suitable for 230V Acriche modules working with a SSC-specific technique in which no additional electronics is necessary.
• The Acrich 2 modules in which the driver IC is integrated, so that they are connected directly to 230V. The generation of heat is low and the lifetime compared to previous solutions considerably longer.
Brand new products that are shown on the SSC as demo boards:
• The compact homogeneous light source ZC as COB Technology (Chip on board) provides optimized thermal design on metal core PCB.
• The LED 3020 provides an optimal ratio of brightness compared to the illuminated surface and is designed for a continuous current of 150 mA. The LED is also available with a color rendering index of CRI 90. With regard to the dimensions of this product it shows very good thermal properties.
• The type Z7F combines four power chips on a SMD-LED unit based on ceramic substrate. Each chip is individually controlled, and the colors warm white and cool white can be created with only one component.
• The full-color LED module Z6RGBW with a height of only 1 mm can represent all the colors of the color spectrum. Due to the close arrangement of chips on the module the results in color mixing a particularly good.
