Greenlux Finland and Ensto Begin Close Cooperation
LED manufacturer Greenlux Finland begins sales and manufacturing cooperation with the cleantech company Ensto.
“This is a big step in both Greenlux’s internationalization and ever faster growth. Greenlux is able to concentrate better in its own strengths as well as open up new markets quickly through Ensto. In terms of products, the companies do not have overlaps but support each other perfectly,” says Greenlux’s CEO Mikael Broman.
The contract expands Ensto’s lighting offering to office and industrial LED lighting solutions from which Greenlux has years of international experience.
“We wanted to build a partnership with a top player to gain more market share. Greenlux is the leading manufacturer of LED luminaries for parking garages in Scandinavia. These lighting solutions are proven to save up to 80% in energy which will benefit both our customers and the environment,” says Timo Luukkainen, Ensto’s CEO.
Greenlux continued its strong growth in Europe in 2013, with the company’s turnover growing by 130% and reaching EUR 2.6 million.
“Maintaining market leadership in parking garage lighting solutions in Sweden, and in Finland the parking garage references for Citycon, among other things, created the foundation for the sales. In addition we made also a large parking garage delivery to Holland and big deliveries to IKEA, as about twenty of their offices in Italy were refurbished with Greenlux lighting solutions,” says Greenlux’s VP, Sales and Marketing Director Roope Ropponen.
The cooperation will immediately be visible, for example, at the most important trade fairs in the business. These include SähköTeleValoAV,held in Jyväskylä, Finland, in the beginning of February and Light+Building held in Frankfurt, Germany at the end of March.
Greenlux and Ensto are both members of Cleantech Finland.
