The Call for Standards for the Radio Equipment Directive urges the European Commission to swiftly publish the awaited cybersecurity standards. The Updated Guidance on Lifetime Metrics revises the 2018 Guiding Paper on LED luminaire performance, emphasizing “useful life” requirements and recommending standardized performance data. The Guide on Emergency Lighting provides a visual overview of proper installation and maintenance, referencing the latest standards and legislation. - The Updated LightingEurope Guidance on Lifetime Metrics: LightingEurope published an update for its Guiding Paper from 2018 to evaluate the performance of LED based luminaires. With this update, we wanted to put more emphasis on explaining the “useful life” performance requirements to face the excessive and growing lifetime claims, by recommending a fixed set of performance data for LED based luminaires.
